Some great snappy dialogue here. Genuine laugh out loud moments and suspense and loved the arcade scenes. Sustained tension at the end. Never heard of this before so very pleased I saw it.

Good lesson for all. Again, it is highly ridiculous how most people cannot reason to the point of being able to see when a murderer [killer] is thier closest company towards killing what is dear to them. What causes this relapse in behavior?----Lack of relaxation in Christ which can allow one the peace to expose problems.

Subject: Ann Sheridan & Dennis O'Keefe Excellent in "Woman on the Run"
Excellent motion picture featuring Ann Sheridan and Dennis O'Keefe with a strong supporting cast. The plot is suspenseful and moves along nicely from start to finish.

Subject: A Good One
Moose Malloy is right. It's a decent thriller in any case, but suspense is raised to a maximum by this director too early and isn't maintained or topped at the movie's climax. Hitchcock had a very similar situation, where a companion is revealed to be a killer, in Foreign Correspondent, but managed more suspense before and after, as well as a breathtaking climax.

I downloaded the MPEG4 file. It's Ok for a TV rip.

Subject: Very Well Done
Very, very enjoyable 1950 B-Noir. The script is surprisingly good with many cracklings lines and situations.

Norman Foster (JOURNEY INTO FEAR and RACHEL AND THE STRANGER) directs. He certainly does well, although the climactic finale (though strong) would have benefited from a Welles or Hitchcock (few films wouldn't, I hear you say).

Hal Mohr (WEDDING MARCH, MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM) photographs it, though this MPEG4 copy doesn't show enough detail to really rate his work. But what is visible is certainly pleasing.

An enjoyable cast moves things along with many denizens (character actors) of San Francisco given a little line here and there by the script. These details, along with the exciting and extensive location work, help to give the film a strong atmosphere.

The film's only real mistake, arguably, was revealing the surprising twist quite early on.

All in all, one of the best films I've downloaded from archive.org and the perfect movie to watch at midnight with a cup of steaming black coffee (a little added rum in there is allowed on cold nights)!

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go walk Rembrandt.

Subject: Great film noir
set in San Francisco although the scenes at the defunct Playland-At-The Beach were actually shot down at the defunct Pacific Ocean Park - in Santa Monica. While Ann Sheridan is excellent - I also like Robert Keith in this one.
